How did I get that SWF file into my Blogger post?

So this process involves using Google Docs to upload a SWF file so I can then post it here on Blogger. It would be nice if Blogger just let me upload it directly, but it doesn't. I could pay for a my own domain and then upload all kinds of files, but I didn't. So here goes...

The example SWF file, give it a minute:

Start your Blogger post, we will be pasting the link location for your SWF file in the post, so keep it open in another window / tab.

The Google Docs uploading process:
YES! you must have a Google Account.
  1. In a new window/ tab log into Google Docs
  2. Then go to your Google Doc's page - ya know, it lists all the Google Doc files you've ever created or uploaded... (clicking on a screenshot will make it BIGGER, click your Browser's BACK button to return here)

  3. Then click the Upload button in the upper left corner...

  4. Browse to your SWF file

  5. Share it with Anyone Who Has the Link by changing the Privacy setting, and then click the Upload button - both of these are in the lower left corner.

  6. Let it upload...

  7. Click the Go Back to Google Docs link at the top left, you shall see your SWF...

  8. Click on your newly uploaded SWF...

  9. Then right-click on the Open link ad copy link location...

Return to your Blogger post
  1. Return to your Blogger post

  2. Click on the Edit HTML tab at the top right
  3. Paste your SWF location.
  4. But wait... there's more!
  5. You need to surround your SWF location with loving "embed" tags,
change the src=" " to your SWF file location.

CLICK ON THE SCREENSHOT, no Blogger won't let me put the code up so you could just copy and paste it with ease...

  6. You should be done...
so click your Preview button or be daring and go ahead and Publish the post.

Education is a big elephant to try to conquer.

I spoke to a family of two children I know about how the education levels and educational quality offered by their daycare has affected them. They thought the quality of their daycare was really great, but it came at quite a cost - literally. They worried about what they would do when the oldest was ready to go the kindergarten - the cost break of public school will be very helpful, but they are strongly considering private schooling. They think the arts and outdoor play has been immeasurably beneficial, and don't want it to leave it behind.

What can I do about it?
I hooked my interview family up with an online resource, and helped them get started on their very first project - outdoor chalkboards.

"I have found a true inspiration over at the Artful Parent. I think the projects for learning the arts at home are just delightful, and I can't wait to try more of them at home.  I think the email subscriptions from her blog will be a great way to keep the at home art projects fresh and innovative.  I have already created my own outdoor chalkboards for my little ones to create their drawings on." - Dad of two.

Of course, being a super hero,  I will next be creating a petting zoo, a working children's farm house, and tractor jungle gyms at our local Kewin Park.

Amazing at it seems, although Modesto is surrounded by farmland, many of the children have no real access to finding out about farms and farm animals. Petting zoo's can provide a wealth of opportunities for children to learn about animals.  They have a chance to learn about the different animals that they pet such as: what they eat, where and when they sleep, what types of families they live in, and so forth.  Many children learn better by actually experiencing something than by just learning about an animal in a book.  Instead of seeing pictures of animal fur, they can actually feel it.  Instead of telling them what the animal eats, they can feed it to the animal. I think Modesto would benefit greatly from a local petting zoo.

How I became a big flying green bird-woman.

It was crazy, really, but I didn't think so at the time...

I was boating in the Mediterranean and suddenly fell over board as I tried to photograph a nearby dolphin. Luckily, Hanna-Barbera's seldom seen Birdman came to my rescue. His base of operations was in a nearby extinct volcano.  Much like the way he revived Birdboy, he also used solar radiation to bring me back life, transferring some of his powers from the Egyptian sun god Ra to me in the process.

These powers include flight, strength, and the ability to fire solar beams from my hand, as well as to create a solar shield; unfortunately the powers fade when I am out of sunlight for a short time. I also have a weakness for any seeded bagels.

I was able to return the favor to him once in my youth (as Birdgirl), helping Birdman capture one of his archenemies, Cumulus - The Storm King. Inside the volcano, Birdman has been monitoring the Earth for trouble, and receives orders from Falcon-7, an eye-patched contact with the Inter-Nation Security agency. Apparently, Cumulus - The Storm King had managed to capture Birdman's giant purple eagle Avenger, but after creating a distraction, we were able to free him.

However, since maturing fully into my adult persona of Supreme Eagletronic, I have been busy fighting gloom and lack of inspiration right here in Modesto, CA.

My Secret Identity

Supreme Eagletronic is not a disguise. It is who I am, while being a "professor" is what I do. Having the secret identity of a professor allows me to live a "normal life" when not fighting the lack of imagination in Modesto.

It also prevents my enemies from seeking revenge on others that I care about.

To aid in my disguise, once I was transformed into Supreme Eagletronic, I quickly bought myself a Secret Identity eye glasses kit.

After all, as their designer Matt Singer asks, I am "a Superhero seeking inconspicuous movement in the civilian world? The Secret Identity Eyeglass Kit is an ideal aid, lends 'poor vision' authenticity while providing legitimate fashion cred to any outfit."  - just what I needed!
